Each fall, the region gets to participate in the Oregon Coast Film Festival.  Categories of films include historical and cultural documentaries, tourism/outdoor/recreational documentaries, student videos, animation, shorts, and feature-length films. Professionals, students, and amateurs are encouraged to submit their films.  A panel of judges from the community reviews the entries and jury films into the “Best of Festival” evening.  Besides the films, the festival includes a workshop, reception, speakers, and awards.  Not only does the festival provide an evening of entertainment for Bandon residents and visitors, but the festival contributes a portion of the proceeds for area high school scholarships. Tickets are available online and at the box office on the day of the event.  For more information about this exciting event, visit the Oregon Coast Film Festival website.

For those with a Coastline Library card, the Bandon Library has thousands of DVDs that can be borrowed for a week. In their vast collection, you’ll find new releases, dramas, comedies, indies, TV series, documentaries and much more.
