Bandon City Park

Located just a quarter mile from one of Bandon’s most beautiful beaches is Bandon City Park. The park is home to many integral parts of life and fun in Bandon.

Baseball diamonds are full of life during the spring and summer as community groups batter up. The Russ Sommers Memorial Playground is alive with happy children when school is out and the weather permits. Picnickers occupy picnic tables, BBQ pits and the gazebo during warm summer days.  Walkers, joggers, and bikers can be seen daily on its smooth and flat paths. A dog park invites dogs to run and socialize. The Senior Center, The Barn Community Center, Sprague Theater, and Bandon Public Library are centers for community gatherings and activities.

The Bandon City Park has one of the only disc golf courses on the south coast.  Its mainly flat terrain and wooded surroundings make for a fun and beautiful yet just challenging enough to keep everyone entertained for 9 holes.

The park is a gathering spot for key events throughout the year.  Each 4th of July, the Bandon Lions’ Club 4th of July Family Fun Day takes place at the Bandon City Park.   This festive occasion includes fun-for-the-family festivities and a BBQ lunch at City Park.  Polish dogs, hamburgers, soda and more are available for purchase, and face painters work their magic on face canvases for reasonable prices.  A free bouncy house, games and live music are available to enjoy all day.  Come eat some BBQ, peruse the vendors, listen to some music, and play for a while!

In the fall, the park is host to the Cranberry Festival’s Disc Golf Tournament.

The park can be found on 11th St., west of Highway 101, between the highway and the ocean.
