Getting around Bandon and the greater South Coast area is easy if you know just a couple of services to use.

Dial-A-Ride

Need a ride within Bandon?  With a day’s notice, Dial-A-Ride, part of Coos County Area Transit (CCAT) can take you where you need to go within the city.  Call 541-347-4131 to schedule a ride.  The rate is $1.50 per person per ride for seniors and persons with disabilities and $2 for the general public.  Youth up to age 17 ride for $1.

The Coastal Express

For transportation to one of the other towns on the South Coast, Curry Public Transit’s Coastal Express runs daily except weekends and holidays between North Bend (27 miles to the north of Bandon) and Smith River, California (96 miles to the south of Bandon).  It stops at the towns of Coos Bay, Bandon, Port Orford, Gold Beach, Brookings, and Harbor along the way.  See the Curry Public Transit’s website for more information.

North Bend Airport

If your transportation needs include flying to your destination, both United Airlines (from Denver [seasonally] and San Francisco) and PenAir (from Portland, OR) fly into the Southwest Oregon Regional Airport (OTH) in North Bend, approximately 28 miles north of Bandon. Several more major airlines fly into Eugene (EUG), located approximately 130 miles from Bandon. Visit their website for more information.

A third option is flying into the Rogue Valley International-Medford Airport (MFR), approximately 165 miles southeast of Bandon. It is served by several commercial airlines. Visit their website for more information.
