The Barn Community Center

Located within Bandon City Park just a quarter mile from one of Bandon’s beautiful beaches is The Barn, a community center facility open to everyone, locals and visitors alike, looking for a place to hold events. It is easy to incorporate the neighboring Sprague Theater, also available for rent for weddings or other events, the City Park, and even the beach into your special occasion.

The Barn is a regular meeting place for community groups such as Boy Scouts of America, Coquille Karate, the Lions Club, Senior Meals, and the E.A.T. program, but it is also rented out for various events.  With its meeting rooms, 250 person capacity dining room, a state-of-the-art kitchen, a bride’s room and dance floor, it is a very flexible venue for wedding receptions, family reunions, retreats, business meetings and more.  It is also the site for many fun community events including the Rotary Club’s Wine and Cheese Extravaganza and The Bite of Bandon, a fundraiser for the Bandon Community Youth Center.

Specializing in locally grown and gathered ingredients, The Barn can take care of your catering needs. The facility also holds a liquor license and a bar staff.  Many local restaurants are also ready to help if you prefer to make other catering arrangements.

Some of The Barn’s highlights include The Social Room, one of the four meeting rooms which features a piano and a Myrtlewood bar, a Bride’s Room and local art. The building also has free wireless internet access and teleconferencing capabilities and is making efforts to be as “green” as possible, using wind energy for its lighting and heating.

The Barn is wheelchair and stroller accessible.  The entrance is at sidewalk level, and there are ramps leading to the meeting areas.  The Barn is all on one level.

On The Barn’s website, you can find a floorplan of the building as well as a page with local vendors for help finding caterers, photographers, florists, and more who can help you with your event.
